How To Make An Espresso
BB COFFEE EXFOLIATER
The sand-like texture of the coffee grounds work to gently remove dead skin cells, which helps to rejuvenate and boost circulation. Coffee grounds also have antioxidants that help with blah, blah, blah. OK here's our recipe!
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Mixing Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 7 minutes
Ingredients
1 cup x BELLY BUMP COFFEE spent coffee grounds (SCG)
1/2 cup x Coconut Oil
1/4 tsp x Ground Cinnamon
OR
14 drops x Lavender Essential Oil
Method
In a medium bowl, mix BELLY BUMP COFFEE grounds, coconut oil and your choice of either cinnamon or lavender essential oil. Make sure to melt coconut oil and allow it to cool but not solidify.
Put the kids to bed and then rub the BB COFFEE EXFOLIATER all over your hands, arms, legs or wherever you please. Wait 5 minutes then rinse.
Now pour yourself a (decent sized) glass of wine or G&T, and put your feet up because mama, you deserve it!
Storage Directions
Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
Use 1-2 times a week (or every day if you like).
Our Recommendation
The ground cinnamon is a great addition for its warming sensation, however we recommend the lavender essential oil if you are planning to exfoliate before bed.
BB COFFEE FERTILISER
Here's one for our savvy (and wannabe) green thumb mamas!
Most soil does not contain the essential nutrients needed for optimal plant growth.
Thus, most gardens need to be fertilised to ensure that plants have the nourishment they need to survive.
Coffee grounds contain several key minerals for plant growth — nitrogen, calcium, potassium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium and chromium.
Your kids might also notice some more worms in the garden since coffee grounds help attract worms!
Method
To use BELLY BUMP COFFEE grounds as fertiliser, simply sprinkle them onto the soil surrounding your indoor or outdoor plants (if any of them are still alive!).
BB COFFEE CLEANER
For our mums that love to clean without chemicals, try this!
Coffee grounds are abrasive and can help remove buildup on hard-to-clean surfaces. They may even help sanitise due to their antibacterial and antiviral properties.
Method
Use them to scour your sink, polish your cookware or clean your bbq.
Avoid using them on any kind of porous material, as they can cause brown stains.
